Track Meet Overview

• Track meets take place at Dornblaser Field and are on May 2nd and May 15th from 5-8:30 P.M.
• Spectators are expected to remain in the stands throughout the entire meet. If you would like to be on the field with your child during the meet, please volunteer to help!
• The 1-mile run begins at 5:05 p.m.
• Field events begin at 5:15 p.m.
• Plan to arrive a little early to give your athlete time to warm up!
• Each athlete can participate in one field event, two running events and a relay.
• Ribbons will be awarded to the top 6 placers in each running events. Top placers for field events will be calculated after the meet. Please have your child hold on to their ribbons!
• The University of Montana will supply a limited concession stand.

Order of Running Events

• 1 Mile
• 100 M Hurdles
• 50 M Hurdles
• 400 M Dash
• 100 M Dash
• 800 M Dash
• 50 M Dash (K/1 only)
• 200 M Dash
• Relay

• K/1 Boys
• 2/3 Girls
• 2/3 Boys
• 4/5 Girls
• 4/5 Boys
• 6/7/8 Girls
• 6/7/8 Boys

*Running order is different for 200 M Dash and Hurdles depending on what age group can compete in the event
**There is no time schedule. When one race is complete, we promptly start the next race.

Field Events
Athletes will compete in field events as they report to the event.
Field events will be completed by 6:30 to distribute the ribbons that evening.
